Dahl acquires companies in Denmark, Sweden and Poland

DAHL ACQUIRES COMPANIES IN DENMARK, SWEDEN AND POLAND Dahl International AB (publ) has acquired the Danish heating & sanitation wholesaler Rimo, Smidesgrossisten in Sweden and heating & sanitation wholesaler Domat in Poland. Rimo, based in Greve, will complement Brødrene Dahl Denmark's branch network in the Copenhagen area. Smidesgrossisten in Stockholm has annual sales of approximately MSEK 20 and will contribute a range of forged pipe fittings that are well suited to Dahl Sverige's customers. The acquisition of Domat in southeastern Poland will reinforce Dahl Poland's leading position and increase its market coverage. At present, the company has annual sales of MPLN 30, corresponding to MSEK 65, and is established in three major cities. "Dahl is continuing its successful strategy to win market shares in Poland and consolidate the leading position in the Nordic countries. The goal in Poland is to be represented in all large cities," says Dahl's President P-O Söderberg. The sale of Dahl in 1998 amounted to MSEK 10,431. Dahl has a leading position in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Poland and a strong position in the Finnish market.
