DAHL'S RESULT FOR THE FIRST QUARTER OF 1999 Dahl's sales in the first quarter of 1999 amounted to MSEK 2,350 (2,291). The result after net financial items amounted to MSEK -25 (22). As expected, the year started on a weak note. The decrease in earnings is mainly attributable to a flagging Norwegian market and costs in connection with the bid for Dahl. The result in Finland improved, while earnings in Denmark, Sweden and Poland were somewhat lower than in the corresponding period of last year. As of 1 April 1999 Dahl is owned by Dahl Intressenter AB, which is backed by EQT and Ratos. On 19 April 1999 the Dahl share was delisted. Dahl is the Nordic countries' leading wholesale and trading company in the market for heating & sanitation/water & sewer supply and pipe products for industry. Dahl's sales in 1998 amounted to MSEK 10,431. Dahl has a leading position in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Poland, and has a strong position in the Finnish market. ------------------------------------------------------------ Please visit http://www.bit.se for further information The following files are available for download: http://www.bit.se/bitonline/1999/04/20/19990420BIT00590/bit0001.doc http://www.bit.se/bitonline/1999/04/20/19990420BIT00590/bit0002.pdf
