DanAds recruits adtech veteran Maarten Vrijens as European Head of Sales

DanAds appoints Maarten Vrijens as Head of Sales in Europe. The recruitment is part of DanAds’ rapid global expansion and securing the company’s leading European presence, as DanAds is unlocking a new space of self-serve advertising for businesses of all sizes.

DanAds, the Swedish-based leading provider of self-serve advertising technology, connecting ad space sellers (publishers) directly with advertisers of any size, today announces the recruitment of Maarten Vrijens as Head of Sales for the European market.

Maarten has over 20 years of experience from leading roles in the digital ads and media industry. He has previously served as COO and CEO of Adsolutions and held different sales roles at WebAds Europe.

Maarten will be based in the Netherlands, leveraging his strong European network within adtech. As Head of Sales in Europe, he will be responsible for developing the European self-serve advertising market, through the leading platform from DanAds which has been described as a ‘Shopify for publishers’, where advertisers of any size can buy ad space directly from publishers like Tripadvisor, Bloomberg Media, and Hearst Magazines (Cosmopolitan, GQ, Elle, Oprah).

DanAds recently appointed Emilija Frew as VP of Growth and Kristina Schauman and Sophia Spala as new board members, alongside the former Swedish finance minister Anders Borg as the new chairman of the board. The company raised 45 MSEK to accelerate the European growth in January and was valued at approximately 375 million SEK post money.
