Brand new design publication to be launched at Milan Design Week 2012

During this year’s design week in Milan, the entire spectrum of Danish design will be on display both physically and as a comprehensive publication. The Danish Design Centre is proud to present this rich and inspiring publication: ‘The Milan issue, volume 1 – Danish design 2012’.
The new generation of Danish designers and crafts people are exploring new creative territory. On one hand wild and ambitious in creating pioneering design and expressing themselves through spectacular and sculptural forms. On the other hand disciplined, grounded in the Danish design tradition in its respect for classic design values.
‘The Milan Issue, volume 1 - Danish Design 2012’, is a substantial, 120 pages publication including interviews and articles with Danish designers and companies exhibiting during the Milan design week 2012. The publication is adding perspective to the history of Danish design and highlights Danish creative potential in a broad perspective and provides a rich mix of articles and discussions.
Environmental and societal issues are creating need for change on a larger scale, and co-creative platforms are suggesting ambitious answers.

The publication will be distributed from the Danish Design Centre stand at the Temporary Museum - Superstudio Piu, Hall 20C, in Zona Tortona in Milan from 17th – 22nd April 2012, presented in an exciting installation produced by Danish design company ‘&tradition’ and designed by designgroup KIBISI.
The publication will also be available from all Danish exhibitors in Milan.
