Datacard Group announced today that their Datacard® MX1100™ card issuance system has been implemented at a prominent bank in India for an in-house central card issuance setup.

In-Solutions Global Private Limited (In-Solutions) – a third party service and solutions provider for electronic payments in the Indian banking industry and who works with the bank – selected Datacard Group based on the end-to-end card issuance solutions and module configuration, it offers for the financial industry.

“In-Solutions prides itself on providing our customers in the Indian region with best-of-class solutions that match their business needs and objectives,” said Adelia Castelino, managing director of In-Solutions. “We chose Datacard Group for their world-class card personalization products, which seamlessly integrate with our solutions and provide the bank unmatched technology for their card personalization solution.”

The bank will use the MX1100™ system to produce and personalize cards with specifications for various payments schemes including Visa and MasterCard, as well as the RuPay card – which is the Indian domestic card payment network that is fast becoming a necessity for the un-banked population in the region. In addition, the MX1100™ system’s module configuration includes magstripe and dual chip encoding, front graphics and photo printing, topcoat, embossing and indenting.

“Datacard Group is pleased that In-Solutions chose us for this project,” said Rajiv Singh, managing director of Datacard India Pvt. Ltd “Right now, only about 50 percent of the 1.2 billion people have bank accounts in India, and there is a significant opportunity for the un-banked population to receive cards that can work with RuPay. Given the card personalization capabilities that we are able to provide this bank, In-Solutions has a great opportunity to capitalize on the increasing needs to offer personalized cards to the Indian market.”
