Datacard Group to Speak and Exhibit at CARTES America in Las Vegas
Datacard Group, the world leader in secure ID and card personalization solutions, today announced that they will be participating at the CARTES America, Secure Connexions taking place April 23-25, 2013 at The Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, booth #206. In its second year, this new business event is designed to promote smart technologies in the North American market.
Datacard Group will be showcasing its platform of integrated products and solutions that enable Secure Issuance Anywhere™, which provides customers the flexibility to securely issue cards and credentials anytime, anywhere. During the show, visitors will have the opportunity to see demonstrations of a modular central issuance card personalization system; the portfolio of integrated financial instant issuance software and hardware; new mobile commerce solutions that transform smart phones into interactive mobile payment devices; as well as the company’s comprehensive suite of secure identity products.
In addition, Datacard Group has been selected to speak on two separate conference tracks during the show. The first session, titled “Effective EMV® Smart Card Migration by Financial Issuers through Instant Issuance” will be given by Joel Munk of Datacard Group. Part of the EMV Implementation and Financial Services track, the presentation will take place on Tuesday, April 23rd at 10:30 a.m. and will discuss the factors that are important for successful smart card implementations and outline how operations managers can integrate it into an instant issuance program.
The second session, titled “How to Complement Card Programs with NFC Deployment Capabilities” will be given by Rusty Carpenter, regional vice president, mobile commerce for Datacard Group, on Thursday, April 25th at 12:00 p.m. This presentation will be part of the NFC, not only Payment! track and will highlight the benefits of having total payment issuance solutions for virtual and physical cards, as well as outline how the technology works within banking infrastructures.
“Although the North American market has lagged in some technology adoption cycles, such as EMV smart card adoption and mobile payments, it is absolutely the time for organizations to start looking at the migration path for these various technologies,” said Carpenter. “We are very pleased to once again participate in this show as an exhibitor and presenter so that we can continue to educate the market, our customers, and others in the industry on how important it is to stay ahead of the innovation curve and start moving now on implementing these technologies.”
