DAVID LLOYD BELFAST WINS DAVID LLOYD LEISURE CLUB OF THE YEAR
David Lloyd Belfast won the coveted title of Club of the Year 2013 at David Lloyd Leisure’s annual gala awards last week.
Europe’s leading health, sports and leisure group recognised the achievements of its 91 clubs and teams across UK and Europe, with David Lloyd Belfast receiving the top accolade and David Lloyd Teeside winning Progress Club of the Year.
Guest speaker at the event, held at the Forest of Arden Marriott, Birmingham, on May 14 was the former Paralympic swimmer, four-time gold medallist Marc Woods.
David Lloyd Belfast general manager Elaine McCrory commented: “‘I am absolutely delighted that Belfast has won the Club of the Year award. I am so proud of the effort and determination the team have displayed throughout the year to achieve the outstanding results that have delivered this success.”
David Lloyd Leisure’s chief executive Scott Lloyd paid tribute, saying: “Our clubs work incredibly hard all year round to provide exceptional service and unrivalled facilities that enable our members of all ages to enjoy active, healthy lives.
“I am very proud of all our teams across the UK and Europe for their continued dedication and commitment, and particularly our deserved winners who have demonstrated performances of the highest calibre.”
