Cold forming services to be promoted at MIDEST
Dawson Shanahan Hall 6 Stand A114
Dawson Shanahan is to promote a full range of services at MIDEST, the world’s leading industrial subcontracting show, which takes place in Paris during November. The show will see Dawson Shanahan showcase not only its powerful cold forming services but also its machining capabilities and increased production capacity.
This has been enabled by investment in advanced, state-of-the-art, fully automated manufacturing systems at Dawson Shanahan’s principal engineering facility in Potters Bar and also at its satellite facility in Welshpool.
Dawson Shanahan will be highlighting its full range of design, prototyping and manufacturing services for the production of custom engineered components. These are used throughout industry, especially in the high-tech sectors such as aerospace, automotive, medical, electronics, power generation and laser and plasma cutting.
Dawson Shanahan is Europe’s leading precision cold forming specialist, with many years of experience in this highly effective engineering technique. With two dedicated production centres in the UK, and representation around the world, the company has the capability, knowledge and resources to help customers develop component parts with unique characteristics. Perhaps as importantly, in many applications the advantages of cold forming, especially the ability to minimise waste, while enhancing mechanical and surface properties, mean that unit cost for both low and high volume production runs can be significantly reduced.
In addition to its specialised cold forming facilities, Dawson Shanahan also offers a full range of traditional engineering services. The company has ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO13485 (for medical device applications) and TS16949 (automotive) approvals, with an extensive in-house quality control department.
Managing Director, Les Reeves, explains, “We’ve been in business for almost 75 years and have become one of the world’s major providers of precision cold forming and machining services. We’re now well established across the globe, with contracts in Europe, North and South America, South Africa and the Far East. MIDEST provides us with an exciting opportunity to meet new customers and potential partners who can help us develop our business still further on the European stage.”
