DecideAct approved SKI supplier - can help municipalities achieve DK2020 climate plans
When the Danish state, regions, municipalities, and the utility sector are looking for solutions to digitize the process of implementing strategies, such as the municipalities' DK2020 climate action plans, they can now find a SKI supplier. In the future, they will be able to purchase DecideAct's digital execution tool via a SKI framework agreement, which can help municipalities reach their goals in the climate area or other strategic areas by replacing the current manual follow-up with modern digital strategy management.
For municipalities, achieving net-zero CO2 emissions and adapting to climate change by 2050 is fundamental. Ideally, this is done through action plans with concrete actions, timelines, and accountability. But to successfully implement these action plans, modern digital strategy management must replace the current manual follow-up. The solution exists and can be purchased at a favorable price through a SKI framework agreement. This is a reality now that DecideAct has been officially approved as a SKI supplier to the public sector in Denmark.
SKI framework agreements are used by e.g. the state, regions, municipalities, and the utility sector for the purchase of standard goods, services, and IT including hardware, software, and consulting. Only companies that meet SKI’s requirements for technical and professional capabilities can be admitted. Furthermore, SKI suppliers must comply with SKI’s criteria for green and social decency in terms of climate, environment, employee conditions, and zero tolerance for money laundering, bribery, and child labor.
On the agreement, all public organizations can also purchase standard business systems such as Software as a Service (SaaS applications), which allows municipalities to use DecideAct's platform to keep track of local strategies and action plans for areas such as climate, business, elderly and children—simpler, cheaper and more efficient than the current manual approach.
Chief Administrative Officer in DecideAct, Claus Stensgaard Jensen, sees many benefits for the public sector, as DecideAct is now part of the SKI framework agreement and thus approved by experts. "With DecideAct, the municipalities have access to a highly efficient digital platform that can ensure progress and efficient execution of the municipalities' DK2020 climate action plans—and even on financial terms that are very attractive compared to the costs normally associated with this type of implementation tasks," says Claus Stensgaard Jensen, who as a former top administrative manager in the public sector has experienced the challenges of implementing major strategic initiatives first-hand.
SKI was established in 1994 as a public limited company jointly owned by the Danish state and KL, and every year the public sector purchases around DKK 12 billion through SKI agreements. According to the DK2020 plan for the climate area, municipalities must, among other things, be CO2 neutral by 2050, and therefore it is considered urgent to get solutions in operation that can ensure that the plans are implemented in an efficient and structured way.
