DIO supports blue light rehearsal in eastern England

Emergency services’ teams from across eastern England practiced getting to grips with the aftermath of a fatal helicopter accident on a military training area in the region. The Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) opened its Stanford Training Area (STANTA), in Norfolk, to the emergency crews as the location for a simulated aviation incident. MOD unveils new construction contracts for southern England

The Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) has unveiled two multi-million pound regional capital works framework contracts for construction projects on the Defence estate in both the South West and South East of England. Industry is now invited to participate in the procurement process for these new commercial arrangements. Each contract covers projects with an individual value of up to £12 million. The contracts will cover works, such as the provision of offices, messes, accommodation, garages, workshops, hangars, medical, sports and teaching facilities, armouries and guardrooms.

DIO appoints Crest Nicholson as Development Manager for Arborfield Garrison Re-development

The Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), the Ministry of Defence’s (MOD) property and services provider has selected Crest Nicholson as its Development Manager for the redevelopment of Arborfield Garrison. Located in Berkshire, the site offers a unique opportunity to deliver a high-quality sustainable development of some 2,000 new homes, associated supporting uses and major infrastructure. DIO previously signed a Collaboration Agreement with two adjoining landowners to deliver one of the most significant residential-led development opportunities in the South East of England.
