UK's 'oldest' chough on record thrives on military firing range
A Ministry of Defence (MOD) training range in South West Wales is home to what is thought to be the oldest chough in the UK. As members of the crow family, chough typically live for no more than ten years. However one elderly bird at Castlemartin Training Area in Pembrokeshire has now reached a remarkable 21 years old.
