Non-Profit Organizations Encouraged to Submit Applications Geared to Improve Oral Health

Delta Dental of Virginia Foundation is accepting grant applications from Virginia non-profit organizations seeking funding for initiatives to improve oral health in their communities. Applications are being accepted now through September 30, 2013.

In December 2012, Delta Dental of Virginia Foundation awarded its inaugural oral health grants totaling more than $1.1 million to 36 organizations across the Commonwealth.

“Our goal is to improve the oral health of all Virginians one smile at a time by providing much-needed funding for research, educational outreach and programs that provide access to care for the underserved,” said George A. Levicki, president, Delta Dental of Virginia Foundation. “One of the strengths of the Foundation is that we can provide the financial support needed by non-profit organizations who can best identify and address the specific oral health issues in their communities.”

Organizations eligible to receive grants include governmental agencies or educational institutions, entities holding a 501(c)(3) tax-exemption, or organizations with a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt fiscal sponsor.
