Demand for sand originating from the Philippines for Singapore reclamation projects is increasing. Chahaya Shipping & Trading Co., Pte Ltd and Delta Minerals have agreed to enter into a partnership agreement to increase sand volume to about 1 million ton annually.

Delta Minerals has newly presented a Master Plan to Chahaya, to ensure deliveries of 1 million ton per year.

Chahaya is shipping and trading Company that will handle the sea transport and sales. Delta Minerals signed a MOU with Chahaya 8 April 2015.

The plan details how Panamax vessels can be loaded outside the Cagayan river mouth. Delta Minerals will stockpile the sand at the river mouth close to the anchorage ground.

To ensure that Delta Minerals is well funded and to respond to the increased demand of sand for Singapore reclamation projects, Delta Minerals is now persuing a share issue.

“I’m very glad that we have been able to present Chahaya our capabilities. Their support has enabled us to achieve a Master Plan that we now will implement. We will jointly become an important player on the Singapore market.” says Thomas Lundgren CEO Delta Minerals.
