Fundraising Campaign Created To Open Child & Family Grieving Counseling Center In The Newtown, CT Area

(Bristol, Connecticut) – Barter Business Unlimited, the region’s leading barter exchange company for business owners throughout the United States, announced today that it surpassed its original goal of $100,000 and has raised $214,000 for The Cove Center for Grieving Children, a Meriden, CT nonprofit organization.

"Through our efforts and with thanks to so many of our barter members, like EasySeat, Inc. and our trading partners, The Cove Center for Grieving Children will have the resources to provide counseling services to many Newtown, CT area families," said Debbie Lombardi, president, Barter Business Unlimited. "In light of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy, Barter Business Unlimited decided to put all of its efforts into supporting The Cove Center for Grieving Children, an organization that will provide support to the victims' families during the long period of healing that needs to take place."

Headquartered in Meriden, CT, The Cove Center for Grieving Children is a nonprofit organization that is working to open a site serving Newtown, CT and surrounding towns to support the children and families of the community. The Cove currently has five family sites in Connecticut and will be opening two additional family sites this year.
