In Honor Of Veterans Day, First Annual GI Film Festival Hollywood To Be Held November 9 & 10, 2012 At The Los Angeles Film School In Hollywood, CA
Actress Christy Carlson Romano To Receive "GI Spirit Award" At Opening Event Reception For Her Ongoing Support Of U.S.
(Los Angeles, CA) -- The GI Film Festival invites military service personnel, veterans, their families, entertainment industry executives and the public to the First Annual GI Film Festival Hollywood on Friday, November 9th and Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Los Angeles Film School, 6363 Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood, CA. The event will feature two industry award receptions, panel/Q&A discussions, several film premiers and industry networking opportunities with celebrities and industry executives. Proceeds from the Saturday night auction will benefit the GI Film Festival, which preserves the stories of American veterans, and the Semper Fi Fund, which provides financial support to wounded Marines and their families.
"All films premiering during our event highlight the successes and sacrifices of American military service personnel and the worldwide struggle for liberty and democracy. Each film submissions has at least one main real or fictitious character serving or have served in the U.S. military who is depicted with respect," said Brandon Millett, co-founder, GI Film Festival. "As a leading member of the Ambassadors of Hollywood Support Tour, actress Christy Carlson Romano will be honored during our kick-off reception this Friday. Saturday, November 10th
12:30 - 8 P.M. - Panel discussions & film screenings
8:30 - 11 P.M. - Third Annual Salute Honoring & Employing Veterans In Entertainment, dinner reception & auction
