Author Kicks-off Workshop Program Across The United States To Help Kids Improve Their Writing & Reading

(West Springfield, MA) – As Massachusetts Author Donald Calvanese releases the first novel of the Carcium book trilogy, “Carcium – The Conflict Begins, in all national book retail chains, independent book stores, Amazon.com and other online retailers, he has also kicked-off a national campaign to motivate and educate children on creative writing and reading entitled, “Writing & Reading Across The Universe”.

“My goal in 2012 is to motivate elementary and middle school students on their creative writing abilities. This will help student to express themselves, improve their organizational skills, build their confidence and raise their overall reading abilities. The 'Writing & Reading Across The Universe' program consists of workshops to motivate each student’s interest. Now that the first Carcium book of the trilogy has been published, I would like to help our next generation of authors to use their imaginations and get their stories published,” said Carcium Author Donald Calvanese. "This program is important especially for this 'texting' generation."

Interested bookstores, middle school administrators, teachers and students can visit the Carcium Web site for more information about arranging a “Writing & Reading Across The Universe” workshop at their facility.

Recently, “Carcium: The Conflict Begins”, was released nationally by Author Donald Calvanese. “It’s a book for pre-teens, teens and adults of all ages. The book definitely captures the story about the fight for good against evil through the skillful adventures of its characters. I thoroughly loved reading about the many medieval animals were woven into the plot such as the gargoyles and large cats. I think the book combines the best of Star Wars with the dramatic adventures of Lord of the Rings,” said Ellen Brittle, East Longmeadow, MA. “Carcium – The Conflict Begins is a high adventure fantasy book you just can’t put down. I’m looking forward to the continuation of the Carcium book series.”

“This is a ‘must’ read for anybody who loves to visit renaissance fairs or is a Robin Hood, Excalibur, Willow or even a Dungeon & Dragon fan. The intense action keeps you on the edge of your seat,” said Allison Sekula, an Enfield, CT librarian.

The 242 page book,” Carcium – The Conflict Begins” (ISBN: 978-1-61346-471-7 Fiction/Fantasy/General), is published by Tate Publishing, LLC., Mustang, OK, phone (888) 361-9473. For more information about Tate Publishing and to arrange retail shipment of the book, visit www.tatepublishing.com.
