Campbeltown local girl awarded £150 by Loch Fyne Oysters

Campbeltown based Castlehill Primary School has been selected as one of three winners of its “Finn the Loch Fyne Fish” competition. Suzanne Gillies (aged 7) from Castlehill Primary School was selected for her design, which will now feature as a restaurant placemat exclusively for the world-renowned Oyster Bar in Cairndow. Suzanne said “I'm proud to have my design on a placemat at the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar.” Suzanne also won £150 for her school and a hamper of presents. Loch Fyne Oysters “Finn the Fish” competition supports the Scottish Government initiative “Eat more Fish” and now children visiting the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar can see Suzanne’s Finn the Fish placemat. Head Teacher, Anne Littleson said "We were delighted that Suzanne had won in this national competition and are also very grateful to Loch Fyne Oysters for their gift of £150 to the school. We plan to use the money to fund a visit from "Zoolab". Suzanne and her class will take part in this workshop and get the opportunity to study small animals normally only seen in zoos".
