Scotland’s favourite family food brand, Hall’s, is set to officially launch ‘Scottish Breakfast Week’ from 4th - 10th April 2011, celebrating the great Scottish breakfast in cities across Scotland. To mark the occasion, Hall’s will be hosting a series of all day Big Breakfast events at the Edinburgh Costorphine (9.04.2011), Glasgow Silverburn (9.04.2011) and Dundee Kingsway (10.04.2011) Tesco stores, inviting families across Scotland to get in to the spirit of Hall’s Scottish Breakfast Week and join in the fun with a free cooked breakfast from 9am until 4pm. Anna Finlay, Hall’s Brand Manager, said: “At Halls we’re all about creating great Scottish family mealtimes, and our Breakfast Week Campaign aims to bring families together and enjoy the best Scottish food.” Throughout the campaign Hall’s will also be fundraising for Tesco’s Charity of the Year 2011 - Alzheimer Scotland with Alzheimer Society, and is hosting private charity breakfasts for people with dementia and their carers at Alzheimer Scotland centres in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee. Hall’s will be serving breakfast to the Dundee Resource centre on the 30th March, Glasgow Oxford Street centre on the 31st March and the Lothian Early Onset Support Service in Edinburgh on the 1st April. Henry Simmons, Chief Executive of Alzheimer Scotland, said: “This is a wonderful gesture from Hall’s and I know that local people with dementia and carers will greatly appreciate it. We aim to ensure that no-one feels they have to go through dementia on their own. Activities like this help to create a real sense of community, giving people the chance to share experiences and chat in a relaxed setting.” There will be a chance to win £1000 and many more cash prizes with a text in competition running on Hall’s products throughout Scotland. See on-pack for all entry details.
