Glennon Brothers welcome Sarah Boyack MSP to Windymains Timber site

Glennon Brothers’ company, Windymains Timber, in East Lothian, welcomed Sarah Boyack, MSP for Edinburgh Central to its site near Humbie this week (1st Nov) as part of a trip to discuss important issues affecting the timber industry and the environment at large. During her visit, the MSP who served as Transport, Planning and Environment Minister under Donald Dewar’s leadership in the first Scottish Cabinet, was given a tour of the Windymains site before sitting down with Glennon Brothers joint managing directors Mike and Pat Glennon, and ConFor (Confederation of Forest Industries)Chief Executive, Stuart Goodall, to discuss issues such as the importance of forestry and wood businesses to Scotland, wood supply, new planting, and ways of increasing the use of wood in construction.
