Scotland’s favourite family food brand, Hall’s ended Scottish Breakfast Week with a bang last week at Hall’s Big Breakfast events in Edinburgh and Glasgow on Saturday 9th April and Dundee on Sunday 10th April. Hall’s served up 1,500 free breakfast rolls to lucky shoppers at the Edinburgh Corstorphine, Glasgow Silverburn and Dundee Kingsway Tesco stores taking donations for Alzheimer Scotland, which with Alzheimer’s Society is Tesco Charity of the Year 2011. Those who attended the event helped raise a grand total over the whole Hall’s Scottish Breakfast Week to over £600. Glenda MacKenzie, Deputy Director - Fundraising at Alzheimer Scotland said “We are really grateful to Hall’s and the staff and customers of Tesco for supporting Alzheimer Scotland in this way. We believe that no-one should go through dementia on their own and Hall’s Big Breakfasts will help us to achieve this.” Anna Finlay, Hall’s Brand Manager, said: “We have had a brilliant Scottish Breakfast Week, celebrating bringing families together by enjoying the best of Scottish food. The Hall’s Big Breakfasts have also generated an incredible amount for Alzheimer Scotland through the great generosity of shoppers who donated at the events.” Hall’s is a well known and well loved Scottish brand offering a range of traditional meat products such as sausages, breakfast packs, Lorne sausage and of course our famous national dish – The Hall’s Haggis. The company was founded in 1932 by David A Hall and has been based in Broxburn, near Edinburgh, since the early 1960s. The Hall's business currently employs in excess of 900 people at the Broxburn site, and is a major supporter of Scottish agriculture. Visit www.hallsofbroxburn.com for more information.
