Locals Enjoy the Taste of Scotland in Perth

Photo Caption 10th August 2010 The second event on the Tesco Enjoy the Taste of Scotland road show calendar went down a storm with locals in Perth last Saturday 7th August 2010. The event, which was officially opened by Lord Provost John Hulbert, attracted 5000 people and welcomed cookery demonstrations from chefs at Deans @ Lets Eat Restaurant, The Apron Stage, Monachyle Mhor, Opus One Restaurant, Andrew Fairlie Restaurant at Gleneagles, audience tasting activities with Tesco’s Home Economist and cocktails with Gordon and Macphail, Rocablu and Blackwood’s Gin. As well as live demonstrations, the event welcomed a whole host of exhibitors who were keen to showcase their local produce including beer from the Inveralmond Brewery, herbs produced by Scot-herbs, delicious raspberries and strawberries from Angus Soft Fruits, thirst quenching spring water from Highland Spring, mouth-watering jams and preserves from Mackays and tasty pizza from Cosmo.
