Scottish drinks company, VC2 Brands, has reported a successful year with turnover reaching £3M; up from £1.8m the previous year. Co-founder Graham Coull commented: “We are thrilled with the growth that VC2 has experienced over the past year, due largely to expanding export markets, national retail listings and continuing new product innovation, which is a real speciality for us. “We have invested heavily in the brewing division, TSA Brewing Co. despite the current economic climate, and so it gives us great confidence to see annual turnover for the division grow from £70k to £800k today.” Over the last year, VC2 has seen a great increase in demand for exports across the company’s brand portfolio from Ireland, Spain, Israel, Australia, Canada and Singapore. In total export sales account for 20% of the company’s turnover between 2010 and 2011, with numerous listings secured in foreign retailers, wholesalers and bar chains including Spain’s El Courte Inglais. TSA Brewing Co’s latest creation, Double Espresso Premio Caffe Birra, a premium coffee flavoured beer, is due to be launched later this month and has already generated considerable interest from abroad. As well as international markets, VC2 has secured a number of national retail listings in the UK. Procurement of UK-wide listings with JD Wetherspoon’s for Lomond Gold Blonde Beer, Double Espresso Premium Beer, LIDL for Lomond Gold and William Wallace Premium Bottled Beers, and a national listing with award-winning UK drinks wholesaler, Matthew Clark, have all contributed to the company’s growth. The company has high aspirations for the future, as Sales Director and co-founder, Carlo Valente added: “We have plans to expand our portfolio of bottled beverages with the launch of a golden rum to market later this year, so keep an eye out for that.” VC2 Brands is the dynamic parent company of inventive Scottish drinks brands including Boe Superior Gin, Paris Rose Liqueur, Stiffy’s flavoured vodka and TSA Brewing Co, owners of William Wallace 80/-, Lomond Gold and 1488 Premium Whisky Beer. VC2 Brands has a premium portfolio of bottled beverages that are distributed internationally, with national distribution in Spain, Ireland and Australia. Based in the Scottish city of Stirling, the company has become an industry leader delivering a wide range of dynamic drink products to global markets.
