PRESS RELEASE 27 AUGUST 2010 Thunder in the Glen at the Macdonald Aviemore Resort The Macdonald Aviemore Resort is set to welcome the Harley Davidson owners' annual gathering between 27 – 29 August 2010. The gathering, organised by the Dunedin chapter, brings more than 1000 Harley Davidson owners and their bikes to the Resort, situated in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. The Resort’s wide range of accommodation will be in full use during the gathering and members of the Harley Davidson owners club will relax in comfort at the 4-star Highlands Hotel, 18 luxury woodland lodges, the Macdonald Four Seasons Hotel, the Academy Hotel, and the Aviemore Inn. The club will also use a specially created camp site situated near the Resort for the duration of the gathering. There will also be a specially organised hog roast and barbeque and a full range of Scottish produce on offer at the Resort’s restaurants. The Macdonald Aviemore Resort includes The Speyvalley Championship Golf Course, The Vital Spa, Spey Valley Cinema, Spey Valley Shopping, Gym and child friendly Spey Valley Leisure Arena with swimming pool, flumes, wave machine and the Aviemore Adventure Club.
