AFR Clothing Designs T-Shirts for Children at Kids In Distress
WILTON MANORS, Fla. (August 16, 2012) After attending the Designing Spaces special “Kids Spaces of Hope – A Labor of Love” reveal, the AFR Clothing team was inspired to design special Labor of Love shirts which they have donated to the children of Kids In Distress.
South Florida residents and AFR Clothing representatives Alexander Star, Kuda Biza, Pedro Moras and DJ TK were among the guests who watched as hundreds of children toured the new children’s activity center designed and renovated by the popular TV show.
“We were so moved by the Designing Spaces Dream Team’s work that we decided we wanted to make special gifts for the children of Kids In Distress,” said Alexander Star, Recording Artist & AFR Clothing Brand Ambassador. “It was amazing to deliver the shirts and to talk to the children about the importance of looking good while doing good.”
The stylish T-shirts feature colorful depictions of children holding hands with the Designing Spaces “Kid Spaces of Hope” motto ‘A Labor of Love’ prominently displayed.
“The ‘A Labor of Love’ T-shirts are a great reminder of the Designing Spaces special, which meant so much to our children, families, supporters and staff here at Kids In Distress,” said Kids In Distress Marketing Manager Brittany Soule. “Our kids really appreciate the AFR Clothing donation.”
AFR Clothing was founded in September 2009 as a social entrepreneurship firm and has committed to donate a portion of proceeds to orphanages in Africa. The clothing line hopes to build awareness, trigger action and bring about change throughout its apparel.
“Love is in the DNA of AFR Clothing. Everything we do is a driven by our desire to show our love to mankind,” said Kuda Biza, Chief Donor, AFR Clothing. “Kids In Distress was founded based on the same principle of love. Therefore, AFR Clothing would like to support them in what they are doing for our local youths and we hope our actions will serve as a good example for the youths. ”
