Boys & Girls Club of Pompano Receives Needed Facelift
Famous Athlete Alumni of the Boys & Girls Club Join in for the Live Reveal
Pompano Beach – April 25th 2013 The Designing Spaces™ Dream Team is lending a helping hand again to a South Florida organization in need, this time giving the Pompano Beach location of the Boys and Girls Club a long overdue makeover. As the oldest Boys and Girls Club facility in Broward County there was a real need for updates, so Designing Spaces is stepping in to make serious changes to help empower and entertain the 200 plus children enrolled in the program.
With the generous assistance of some incredible sponsors three spaces will get complete overhauls. Thanks to help from Texas Instruments, the children will have a brand new math and study lab. Grand Rapids Tools is assisting with a fully redone wood shop complete with a special tool line created for children, and for relaxation and fun the new game room is being created with help from Microsoft XBOX and Activision.
The celebration of the live reveal will include a very special gift from the build-it-yourself car company Ridemakerz for every single child in the program as well as appearances by Mayor Lamar Fisher and famous athletes Eddie Jones and Donnell Bennett, both local alumni of this particular Boys and Girls Club.
