The signature home improvement show shoots a follow up segment and delivers some early holiday cheer to the children at Kids In Distress

WILTON MANORS, FL. (December 12, 2012) – The Designing Spaces™ television crew returned to Kids In Distress (KID) of Broward and Palm Beach counties during the holiday season to transform the activity center they originally designed into a magical Christmas wonderland complete with a 12-foot lavishly decorated Christmas tree, snowflake wallpaper and portraits of snowmen and Santa Claus.  In addition, Designing Spaces™ also generously donated $1,000 in toys and games to the children.

The event was filmed as part of a holiday themed segment that will air on Designing Spaces™ on the Lifetime network Friday, December 21 at 7:30 a.m (ET/PT).

Last summer the team from Designing Spaces™, the trusted name in home remodeling, decorating and design, visited KID to film the television special “Kids Spaces of Hope – A Labor of Love Makeover.” As part of the show, the team created a new activity space filled with books, games and a snack station on the KID campus. The goal was to create a beautifully designed, safe, warm and educational environment for the children and to help foster their love of learning.

“It was an honor and a pleasure to revisit the kids and staff at Kids In Distress.  Seeing those smiles all over again after our makeover warms the heart,” said director of the “Labor of Love” special Carl Smith.  “It’s good to know that the space we made over is being used in a positive way.”
