Panthers defenseman will trade his hockey stick for a paint brush for the interior makeover show set to air in a two-part special Aug. 2 and 9

SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment today announced that Florida Panthers defenseman Ed Jovanovski will join the dream team from “Designing Spaces” airing on Lifetime, to help create a brand new activity space filled with books, games and a snack station at Kids In Distress. The interior makeover will take place on Wednesday, June 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kids In Distress located in Wilton Manors.

In “Designing Spaces” episode “Spaces of Hope – A Labor of Love” Panthers star Ed Jovanovski will lend a helping hand in their mission to improve the lives of child abuse victims. The Panthers alternate captain will help create a beautifully designed, safe, warm and educational environment for children to help foster their love of learning. The two-part special will air Thursday Aug. 2 and 9 on Lifetime

Now in its eighth season, “Designing Spaces” inspires and instructs viewers on do-it-yourself projects and products with the goal to assist them in making their surroundings the best that they can be.

Kids In Distress (KID) of Broward and Palm Beach counties is a licensed nationally accredited agency working for prevention of child abuse, preservation of the family, and care and treatment of abused and neglected children. KID partners with corporations like “Designing Spaces” airing on Lifetime, to provide basic services to the underserved population in South Florida.
