Eric Loferski from Briggs & Stratton will introduce GE Home Standby Generators that keep families safe and comfortable during power outages

(Pompano Beach, FL – CISION - April 24, 2013) Briggs & Stratton will feature their GE Home Generator Systems on the popular home improvement show Designing Spaces™ on Lifetime TV in a segment airing on Thursday, April 25th at 7:30 am (ET/PT) as part of the "Home Improvement Goes High Tech" series.

During the segment, Eric Loferski is on site at a homeowner's residence to talk about providing maximum comfort for a family during an unexpected power outage with a GE Home Generator System. Loferski will discuss the differences between a portable and standby generator, how to select size and output and where standby generators are typically located on the property.

Having a GE Home Generator System can potentially save a homeowner thousands of dollars compared to the cost of spoiled food, basement cleanup or a hotel stay.

"In 2012 wide-spread and lengthy power outages were caused by Hurricane Sandy and other powerful storm systems across the US. Many people were unprepared. We are partnering with Designing Spaces to tell people about automatic home generator systems, the ultimate way to prepare before a power outage occurs," said Amanda Grady, Briggs & Stratton Standby Generator Division.

"We're excited to have Briggs & Stratton join us on the show to inform our Designing Spaces viewers how having a residential standby generator can make a big impact and keep the house humming during a power outage," says Lysa Liemer, Designing Spaces™ on Lifetime Executive VP of Programming and Chief Operating Officer.
