Changes in Destia’s organisation and in the composition of management team
Destia’s business operations are divided into four regional business units: Southern Finland, Western Finland, Eastern Finland and Northern Finland, and the national Consulting Services business unit.
The business of the regional business units includes the construction and maintenance of traffic routes, industrial and traffic environments and the complete living environment, as well as the services of the winter maintenance management centre, Kelikeskus. The Rock Construction, Railway Construction and Maintenance,
Aggregates and Fleet units are part of the regional business units.
The structure of Consulting Services business unit will change from the beginning of year 2016 as Destia signed a contract concerning business transaction on 23 November 2015, according to which Destia sells its survey, drilling and laboratory services. From the 1 January 2016 the business of Consulting Services comprises infrastructure engineering, road data collection and analysis, and international consulting.
Heidi Erha has been appointed as Executive Vice President Consulting Services and member of the management team of Destia from 1 January 2016. Erha’s responsibilities continue to include also Business Development and Operational Excellence unit. Jukka Raudasoja acts in specific tasks of management from 1 January 2016.
In year 2016 the following five support functions support the business units: Finance, Human Resources, Legal Services, Corporate Planning as well as Business Development and Operational Excellence.
Functions of Large projects, sales and project development unit will be a part of Corporate Development unit set up by the beginning of the year 2016. Timo Vikström has been appointed as Executive Vice President Corporate Planning and member of the management team of Destia from 1 January 2016. Jouni Karjalainen will continue in his position and reports to Timo Vikström from beginning of 2016.

In 2016, Destia’s Management Team comprises President and CEO Hannu Leinonen as Chair and Executive Vice President Human Resources Laura Ahokas, General Counsel Aki Markkola, CFO Pirkko Salminen, Executive Vice President Corporate Planning Timo Vikström and Executive Vice Presidents Heidi Erha, Minna Heinonen, Pasi Kailasalo, Marko Vasenius and Seppo Ylitapio and personnel representative Kimmo Laaksola as members of the management team.
