PLANTATION, FL: June 14, 2012 – DHL has partnered with Andretti Sports Marketing and signed on to “deliver” a great race experience to IndyCar fans this Father’s Day weekend at the historic Milwaukee Mile as the Official Express and Logistics Provider of the 2012 Milwaukee IndyFest. Complementing its partnership with Andretti Autosport, DHL is a major sponsor of the historic Milwaukee Mile event, a festival that features two days of exciting race action from the IZOD IndyCar Series and Firestone Indy Lights as well as concerts, family activities and more.

As the Official Express and Logistics Provider of the Milwaukee IndyFest, DHL has the prestigious honor of delivering the race trophies to the “DHL Victory Circle” on Saturday and presenting the trophy to the race winner.  In addition to delivering the trophies, DHL will also deliver unique opportunities to two of its customers attending the race – giving one the opportunity to experience a two-seater ride in an IndyCar and the other the opportunity to ride in the Pace Car at the start of the race.

Other elements of the partnership with Andretti Sports Marketing to promote the Milwaukee IndyFest include customer hospitality and DHL branding and advertising throughout the grounds at the two-day festival and race.

“We’re thrilled to work with Michael Andretti and team to help keep the Milwaukee Mile’s legacy alive and bring a memorable experience to racing fans in the area,” said Christine Nashick, Vice President of Marketing for DHL Express. As the Official Express and Logistics Provider of Andretti Autosport, DHL serves as a co-primary sponsor of the No. 28 entry driven by Ryan Hunter-Reay and an associate sponsor of the No. 27 car driven by IndyCar’s 2011 ‘Rookie of the Year,’ James Hinchcliffe.

The IZOD IndyCar Series will headline the action with a 225-lap race on Saturday, June 16. They will be joined by the Firestone Indy Lights cars, scheduled to race Friday evening in a 100-lap battle.
