DuroSite™ LED Low Bay Provides Maintenance-Free Reliability and Durability with Low-Glare Optics for Parking Decks, Cold Storage, Fueling Canopies and Other Low-Clearance Applications

Farmingdale, NJ (April 5th, 2011) – Dialight (LSE: DIA.L), an innovative global leader in LED lighting technology, today announced the launch of its new DuroSite™ LED Low Bay Fixture, the company’s first LED luminaire designed specifically to provide maintenance-free, high-quality light with minimal glare for superb visibility in parking decks, garages, cold storage and other applications under 25-foot mounting height.

Featuring Dialight’s exclusive optics design for precise light distribution and reduced glare, the DuroSite LED Low Bay fixture provides an ideal combination of low-profile durability, long-life performance and maximum energy savings compared to traditional high pressure sodium and metal halide fixtures.

Delivering up to 75 lumens per watt at just 80 watts total power consumption, the DuroSite LED Low Bay ensures at least 50 percent energy savings over HID sources. Available in both cool white and neutral white versions for improved visibility, the Dialight LED Low Bay emits very little heat for minimal impact on cooling systems for added energy savings.

The unit is also available with either a variable dimmer or motion detector/occupancy sensor for further energy savings. Instant-on capability improves safety with immediate full illumination of the area and eliminates the energy often wasted by leaving conventional lights on continuously to avoid the warm-up period. The fixture boasts a power factor >.95 for supreme energy efficiency even while on standby.

“Our new Low Bay is a perfect example of Dialight’s understanding of the unique needs of our customers,” said Roy Burton, Dialight’s Group Chief Executive. “This unit can not only help reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions, but it is extremely durable, featuring an all-aluminum housing with scratch-resistant polycarbonate lens—the same material used in bullet-proof glass. It’s built especially to withstand the risk of vandalism and damage that sometimes happens in parking garages and other low-clearance environments.”

Changeout from existing fixtures is simple, using the same 100-277VAC wiring and mounting structure. The DuroSite Low Bay is compatible with Dialight’s entire line of existing high bay mounting options and accessories including pendant mount, swivel bracket and cable gland (in combination or individually), hanger loop and hook, stanchion bracket, junction box with integrated transformer, and dome lens

The unit is UL1598/UL1598A rated and CSA22.2 #250 certified and is backed by Dialight’s standard 5-year Peace of Mind Warranty, guaranteeing at least five years of reliable, maintenance free performance.
