SysOpen Digia Plc and SAS Institute Ltd have signed a cooperation agreement,

industry-specific information system solutions. The cooperation enables the
companies to offer industry-specific software to a broader customer base.

SAS Institute is a software company specialising in the information management
and Business Information. The company is focused particularly on
industry-specific system solutions. SysOpen Digia is a leading information
system and communications technology integrator in Finland. These two leading
companies have decided to join forces in the development of Business
Intelligence systems. The companies are committed to cooperating also in, for
example, training and the discovery of new business areas.

“In the future, system providers are expected to have more and more industry
know-how. This cooperation agreement enables us to provide our customers with
more refined system solutions,” says Lasse Musakka, Alliance Manager, SAS
Institute.

According to Musakka, the cooperation agreement provides SAS with a strong
partner in IT architecture. The agreement also aims to strengthen the company's
industry know-how in the strong areas of SysOpen Digia, such as trade and
services.

SysOpen Digia is focused on solutions in the areas of, for example, finance and
services, industry and trade, and telecommunications. Also SysOpen Digia sees
the agreement as enabling the discovery of new business areas.

“Traditionally our strengths have included industry know-how and specialisation
in selected business areas. This cooperation agreement strengthens our position
as a provider of ERP and analysis solutions,” says Tapio Niinikoski, Director,
SysOpen Digia.
“The success of this partnership is ensured by our strong know-how in SAS. In
addition to our SAS Master Class certified experts, we have experienced SAS
professionals with strong analytical know-how. We chose SAS because it enables
us to develop an architecture for a comprehensive BI solution.
Metadata-controlled data integration provides a basis for the further
processing of information, and enables the execution of demanding analyses to
support ERP,” Niinikoski continues.
