SYSOPENDIGIA Plc Press release 19.04.2007

SYSOPENDIGIA today announced the commercial release of Remote Help Desk, a solution for remote access and management of mobile phones over wireless networks, primarily targeted at mobile device manufacturers, operators and enterprises. Remote Help Desk can be used either as a standalone solution or as an enhancement to existing device management systems.

It is common in the PC environment that the IT department or service company perform support and maintenance operations remotely over the network. With Remote Help Desk, the same functionality is now also available for all S60 2nd and 3rd Edition devices, such as the latest Nokia E-Series and N-Series devices, and for UIQ 3.0 and 3.1 devices. The help desk personnel can smoothly access the phone remotely over wireless networks (UMTS, GPRS, EDGE, WLAN) to help and advise the user with incorrect configurations and other problems on the phone. The help desk person can also see the actual phone's screen in real-time and have easy control of the phone with the keyboard.

Kai Tulonen, Chief Technology Officer, SYSOPENDIGIA says: “We are glad to launch Remote Help Desk. The secure and centralized access to mobile devices that Remote Help Desk undeniably brings faster & better service, as the user does not need to bring in the phone. Another essential advantage is cost reduction, since all functionalities of the phones are usable immediately after service. Finally, the user experience is significantly enhanced as users can be given clear instructions on how to use their mobile device.”
