-- On display at booth 865 at the Association of College & Research Libraries conference—

PHILADELPHIA, March 31, 2011 - ST Imaging (STI) introduced an integrated Pay for Print or Pay for Scan solution for the ST ViewScan and ST BookScan Center products. “Libraries are always looking for ways to cut and offset the cost of providing their services” said Dan Donaldson, director of digital imaging products for ST Imaging, “now for the first time ever, libraries can have a pay per use system that will enable them to charge for printing or saving scanned images to electronic media.”

ST Imaging will be demonstrating the payment system, ST ViewScan, and ST BookScan Center at the Association of College & Research Libraries Conference. These products present a major opportunity for organizations to improve services, reduce costs and recover lost revenue by charging patrons for scanned or printed images. Each of the units provide convenient USB ports on the front of the scanner panel allowing patrons to save images directly to their thumb drives.  These ports can also be used by the organization for USB based authentication systems.

ST Imaging will give a complementary 1GB thumb drive to each ACRL attendee that stops by for demonstration of the ST ViewScan or ST BookScan.
