Digital Vision launches a new generation of DVNR1000-HD - Image Processing Workstation for High Definition Las Vegas, April 19, 1999 - Digital Vision launches a new generation of DVNR1000-HD - Image Processing Workstation for High Definition. This extends Digital Vision's modular approach to new high definition formats, higher packing density and new features. The DVNR1000-HD has significantly improved packing density that enables up to three processing options in one single chassis. It can handle ATSC formats 1080i and 720p as well as the new film mastering format 1080p 24 f/s. Processing options in the DVNR1000-HD range are the popular ANR Noise & Grain Reducer, ASC-II Advanced Dirt and Scratch Concealer, Primary and Secondary Colour Corrector and AAC Aperture Corrector. The DVNR1000-HD is prepared for a special cross and down conversion option to allow release formats to be produced from a single digital 1080p master. Peter Weiss, CEO of Digital Vision comments: "We can see a fast move to high definition processing in the high end production and post-production industries, especially in the US. The new DVNR1000-HD platform enables customers to adapt to the new 720p HD formats evolving from ATSC broadcasting as well as the 1080p/24 film post-production mastering formats, while still offering the popular DVNR Image Processing tools."
