Diligentia signs major rental agreement with Sun Microsystems

Diligentia signs major rental agreement with Sun Microsystems Sun Microsystems AB has signed a rental agreement with Diligentia on approximately 10,000 square meters in the Terminalen I property in Kista. The property will undergo comprehensive renovation work and upgrading. Work is scheduled to begin in January 2000 and is expected to be finished in the latter part of 2000. The premises will be designed to enhance Sun's corporate image implying open and flexible office solutions. 5,000 square meters, of the total area 16,000 square meters, in Terminalen 1 will be available to let in the autumn of 2000. Sun is a world-leading supplier of network solutions, with revenues of $10 billion and 27,000 employees internationally. Its Nordic operations also handle the Baltic region, Russia, Eastern Europe and Benelux. The Terminalen 1 property is located immediately adjacent to the highway E4 between Stockholm and Arlanda Airport and is highly visible to passing north- and southbound traffic. A modern building and excellent location make it an especially attractive property. "We've been working with Sun Microsystems for some time," says Björn Tigler, Managing Director of Diligentia Stockholm. "Obviously we are happy and pleased to continue to have them as a customer. The location of this property, in the corridor between downtown Stockholm and Arlanda, will give the Sun name daily exposure. About 70,000 vehicles pass the building every day." Diligentia is one of Sweden's largest real estate companies. The book value of the Group's Swedish property portfolio amounted to SEK 10,455 million on March 31, 1999. The book value of the international properties amounted to SEK 850 million.
