Dimension continues to grow in the Baltic region The IT integrator Dimension is strengthening its position in the Baltic region by acquiring 70 percent of the Latvian company Realogic, with annual sales of approximately SEK 10 million. This is Dimension's second move in the region in a short time, and it is now represented in Latvia and Lituania. The acquisition is in line with Dimension's strategy to play a leading role as an integrator in the growing Baltic market. Earlier this year the company CompServis Open Systems, in which Dimension owns 51 percent, was established in Lithuania. "The acquisition of Realogic is a natural continuation of our growth in the Baltic states," says Sven Uthorn, Managing Director of Dimension AB. "There is an expansion in IT infrastructure under way in the region, due to which demand for suppliers with professional competence in integration solutions is very high. Realogic is a profitable IT company with a mix of capabilities and a client portfolio well suited to Dimension's operations." Dimension is acquiring 70 percent of Realogic, which in connection with the acquisition is changing its name to Dimension Latvia. The remaining 30 percent will be retained by the company's founders. The acquisition, which will be finalized in April 2001, represents a marginal investment for Dimension. Realogic sales in 2000 amounted to approximately SEK 10 million, with a profit after financial items of approximately SEK 3 million. The company has six employees, and its clients include several of Latvia's largest banks and telecom companies. The Managing Director of Dimension Latvia will be the current MD, Dimitri Scharafoutdinov, one of the founders of the company.
