Dimension receives major order from Swedish government agency
Dimension receives major order from Swedish government agency The IT integrator Dimension has received an order from a Swedish government agency to design and supply a large database and storage solution for directory management. The total order value is approximately SEK 12 million. The Internet remains a strong driving force that is constantly placing new demands on Swedish authorities. Intensive work is being done today to meet citizens' needs by making community information, directory data, forms, etc. available over the Internet. This transition has forced government agencies to devote major resources to IT systems, which constitute an increasingly important aspect of their operations. "The public sector is a growing segment of the IT market driven by, among other things, opportunities for greater efficiency, the ambition to improve public service and new operating demands," says Sven Uthorn, Managing Director of Dimension AB. "Dimension has taken a number of offensive measures that makes us better positioned to work with public sector customers at the national and municipal level. The confidence that has been shown in us by this large government agency to design an advanced data storage solution is proof, I feel, of the success of this effort."
