Dimension Telecom signs framework agreement with Hi3G The IT integrator Dimension's subsidiary Dimension Telecom has signed a framework agreement with 3G operator Hi3G on IT infrastructure and consulting services for the expansion of the latter company's 3G network. Earlier this year, Dimension Telecom was selected by Hi3G to implement a new technical platform for its 3G network. The success of this collaboration has now led to a framework agreement on a further network expansion. The agreement's focus is on the expansion of infrastructure to facilitate the administration and distribution of services in the network. Hi3G is a pure 3G operator with licenses in Sweden and Denmark. By offering customers innovative mobile multimedia services, its aim is to become the leader in the Scandinavian 3G market. "Competition in the telecom sector is increasingly centered on network content and services," says Sven Uthorn, Managing Director of Dimension. "As a result, the market for IT infrastructure for distribution of mobile services has great potential in the years ahead. The fact that a pure 3G company like Hi3G has the confidence in us to extend our cooperation clearly shows the importance of our competence to operators investing in new networks." The agreement comprises IT infrastructure for service platforms and IT services such as integration, project management and implementation.
