Direct Property Group backs Hong Kong’s most prestigious charity boxing match
Hong Kong’s leading global property specialist Direct Property Group will play main sponsor to a special boxing match this Saturday, in aid of the Children’s Surgical Care charity that provides disabled Cambodians with rehabilitative surgery. Direct Property Group White Collar Boxing, in partnership with Vanda, will take place at Intercontinental Hong Kong on Saturday 8th March, starting at 6.30pm.

The exclusive black tie fundraiser, Direct Property Group White Collar Boxing, in partnership with Vanda, will take place at Intercontinental Hong Kong on Saturday 8th March, starting at 6.30pm.
The match will be between novice white collar workers who have no previous boxing experience. Now they will come together to battle it out in front of an audience of hundreds during a three-round bout - after only 12 weeks’ training behind them.

Children’s Surgical Charity (CSC) has been providing disabled Cambodians with rehabilitative surgery since 1998. In 2013, CSC provided more than 17,000 consultations and 6,250 life-changing and life-saving surgeries – free of charge. Funding from Vanda, the event organiser, has raised more than 1,400,000.00 USD for the charity, helping to fund a facility expansion and allowing CSC to treat more patients, more effectively. It covered the cost of 1,280 life-changing operations last year alone.
White Collar Boxing is a fast growing sport for men and women between the ages of 25 and 55, who look to challenge themselves in a controlled boxing environment. With an emphasis on safety, boxers are professionally trained in a 12-week program before participating in the competition.
