Direct Property Group raises more than HKD$500,000 for children’s charity
Hong Kong’s leading global property specialist Direct Property Group has raised in excess of HKD$500,000 for Children’s Surgical Care (CSC) through a black tie boxing evening.
Hong Kong’s leading global property specialist Direct Property Group has raised in excess of HKD$500,000 for Children’s Surgical Care (CSC) through a black tie boxing evening.
The landmark contribution to the charity, which provides disabled Cambodians with life-saving surgery, was the result of one single fundraising event - an exclusive White Collar Boxing event on 8thMarch at the Intercontinental Hong Kong. Produced by Vanda Promotions, it was the largest and most successful event of its kind to date in Hong Kong.
Direct Property Group has now confirmed it will be the lead sponsor for White Collar Boxing for the next five years. The prestigious events see novice white collar workers with no previous boxing experience battle it out in front of an audience of hundreds – after only 12 weeks’ training behind them.
CSC has been delivering free life-changing surgeries for disabled children in Cambodia since 1998. In 2013, it carried out more than 17,000 consultations and 6,250 operations, completely free of charge. To date, funding from Vanda has raised more than USD$1,400,000 (HKD$10,900,000) for CSC.
