camexpo shortlisted for Best Exhibition Under 2,000m2 in AEO Excellence Awards
Nominations for the Association of Event Organisers (AEO) Excellence Awards have been announced, with two of the six trade shows shortlisted in the “Best Exhibition Under 2,000m2” category – camexpo and lunch! – organised by Diversified Business Communications UK Ltd (Diversified UK). Brighton-based Diversified UK is one of the few companies to receive multiple nominations within the same category in this year’s AEO awards, which recognises achievements by organisers, venues, suppliers and contractors throughout the exhibitions industry.
Commenting on the achievement, Diversified UK’s Managing Director Carsten Holm, said: “Being shortlisted as a finalist for the AEO trade show of the year is a rare accolade and what every trade show organiser aspires to achieve. But what makes it even more remarkable, is that this is second time in two years that camexpo has been voted as a finalist, the only event to be shortlisted in two consecutive years. We are dedicated and passionate about this sector and this nomination is a fantastic achievement for the team” The AEO Excellence Awards are the highlight event of the year for the UK's exhibition industry, with the winners of all 20 awards, including Best Exhibition – Under 2,000m2, to be announced at a dedicated awards ceremony on 22 June 2010 at Wembley Stadium. Now in its eighth year, camexpo returns to Earls Court, London, on 23-24 October 2010. The UK's only dedicated CAM show, camexpo 2009 enjoyed a record turnout of 5163 attendees – marking a substantial 44% total increase in attendance since 2007. ###
