Diversified Business Communications UK nominated twice in AEO Excellence Awards - camexpo and lunch! shortlisted for Best Exhibition Under 2,000m2
Nominations for the Association of Event Organisers (AEO) Excellence Awards have been announced, with two of the six trade shows shortlisted in the “Best Exhibition – Under 2,000m2” category – camexpo and lunch! – organised by Diversified Business Communications UK Ltd (Diversified UK). Brighton-based Diversified UK is one of the few companies to receive multiple nominations within the same category in this year’s AEO awards, which recognises achievements by organisers, venues, suppliers and contractors throughout the exhibitions industry.
A first for the food-to-go show lunch!, this is the second year running that camexpo – the complementary, natural and integrated healthcare show – has been shortlisted for an AEO Excellence Award. Commenting on the achievement, Diversified UK’s Managing Director Carsten Holm, said: “Just a couple of years ago, no one had heard of Diversified here in the UK. But with our increasing international reputation, the backing of our American owners and with the support of a great team here in the UK, we are rapidly becoming known for our attention to detail, customer focus and strong marketing. lunch! was launched at the most difficult time imaginable but was a powerful concept and within just two years, it has become a firm and popular fixture in the food show calendar. The camexpo achievement is perhaps even more remarkable, as this is the second consecutive year it has been shortlisted. I am very proud of what the team here has achieved in such a short space of time.” Last year saw record turnouts for both lunch! and camexpo. lunch! was heralded as the UK’s fastest growing food trade show after its 2009 event saw a significant 28% increase in attendance to over 2500 industry professionals. Whilst camexpo attracted 5163 CAM professionals to its 2009 event – marking a substantial 44% total increase in attendees since 2007. The AEO Excellence Awards are the highlight event of the year for the UK's exhibition industry, with the winners of all 20 awards, including Best Exhibition – Under 2,000m2, to be announced at a dedicated awards ceremony on 22 June 2010 at Wembley Stadium. lunch!, the UK’s only dedicated food-to-go trade show, will take place on 30 September-1 October 2010 at Old Billingsgate, London. camexpo, the UK's only dedicated CAM show, will take place on 23-24 October 2010 at Earls Court, London. ###
