Next month’s Natural & Organic Products Europe, taking place over 11-12 April at London’s Olympia, will feature over 500 exhibitors – including many of the industry’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of functional food products. From new product launches to brand innovations and packaging re-designs – the following is just a taste of what show press and industry buyers can expect to see at the UK’s only dedicated trade event for natural and organic products.
James White Drinks will launch their new product Beet It – a concentrated organic beetroot stamina shot (70ml miniature PET bottle). It is the world’s first organic natural stamina shot developed on the back of recent beetroot juice researches at Barts Hospital and Exeter University. The naturally high level of dietary nitrate found in Beetroot juice has proven an effective mechanism for boosting Nitric Oxide (NO) levels in the cardio vascular system with an impact on blood pressure and stamina levels. Informed Sports certified; it is on trial with elite sports professionals from the cycling, swimming and rugby worlds. Peppersmith will be showcasing their newly launched chewing gum, which is the first to be made with fine Black Mitcham peppermint, homegrown on a farm in Hampshire. The UK's first all natural gum, this quality gum contains no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives and no aspartame. Instead of using a synthetic petro-chemical gum base, Peppersmith gum is made with chicle; the sap from a sapodilla tree, which is sustainably harvested from the Central American Rainforest. Peppersmith gum has also been fully accredited by the British Dental Health Foundation. This is because it’s sweetened with wood sugar otherwise known as xylitol; proven to reduce plaque and the risk of tooth decay. Peppersmith’s innovative packaging, which includes a booklet of small papers also helps to ensure that every used piece of gum is wrapped up and thrown away responsibly.
