lunch!, the UK’s only dedicated food-to-go trade show, returns to London’s Old Billingsgate on 30 September-1 October, with a brand new Innovation Zone and over 50% more exhibition space. lunch!’s expansion upstairs on to Old Billingsgate’s mezzanine level follows news from organisers Diversified Business Communications UK Ltd that, with five months still to go, over 80% of the show’s original space has already been sold.

“The feedback from last year’s show has been outstanding,” says lunch!’s newly appointed Event Manager, Madeleine Johnson. “I’m thrilled to have recently joined the Diversified team and am committed to building on the fantastic success of our 2009 event. We are expanding and developing lunch! to showcase an even greater range of inspiring, unique and innovative products, and feature more cutting edge content, demonstrations and training.” One such new development is lunch!’s 24-stand Innovation Zone, situated in its own dedicated area of the show. Given that sourcing new products and finding new suppliers were both cited by last year’s visitors as being pivotal incentives for attending, lunch!’s Innovation Zone has been specifically designed to promote new products from smaller suppliers and emerging start ups. With thousands of industry buyers from all the major food-to-go chains, supermarkets, contract caterers and quality independents set to attend the two-day event, companies exhibiting within the Innovation Zone are certain to benefit from an instant increase in brand awareness. Over 100 leading food-to-go manufacturers and suppliers are set to exhibit at lunch!, many for the first time, including: AgriCoat NatureSeal Ltd, Bloom Tea, Bushveldt Meats, Cafe Connections Limited, Daniels Chilled Foods, Doves Farm Foods Ltd, Firefly Tonics, Foodies To Go, Fretwell Downing Hospitality, MaryJane's Popped Corn, New York Delhi, Online Catering Services Ltd, Pieminister Ltd, Rapid Action Packaging Ltd, Suki Tea, The Original Drinks Company Ltd, The Taylor Company UK, The Yorkshire Provender, Tideford Organic Foods, and Tims Dairy Ltd. Returning show features include the New Product Showcase, lunch! Retailer of the Year Awards, the British Smoothie Championships, plus the BSA Training Academy. Heralded as the UK’s fastest growing food trade show after last year’s event, lunch! 2009 attendance figures were up a substantial 28% to include over 2500 industry professionals. Given the significant increase in exhibitors, plus the growing stature of the show itself as the essential event for the food-to-go industry, lunch! 2010 is expected to attract more visitors than ever when online registration opens at the end of this month. lunch! is free to attend for pre-registered trade visitors, for further information please visit www.lunchshow.co.uk.
