Alkymi joins the Citi Accelerator

Alkymi is the first Danish founded startup to join the Citi Accelerator program. During the program, Alkymi will meet with mentors, Citi tech team, potential clients, banks, integrators and VC’s to explore business opportunities. A bi-weekly mentorship will also be included in the program.

The Citi Accelerator aims to identify and grow key technologies that could play a leading role in the changing dynamics of the global financial industry.  

“We want to find and connect with Fintech companies – to support their growth, and provide access to our global network and global capital. The role of the Accelerator is to explore emerging trends in technology and financial services and accelerate the engagement process of innovative startups with Citi.” says Ornit Shinar, Head of Venture Investing Israel at Citi.

The Citi Accelerator's focus areas are Data Analytics and Machine Learning, Commerce & Payments, Security & Enterprise IT, Customer Experience & Marketing and of course Financial Services & Technologies. 

During the latest year, Citi in Denmark and CPH Fintech have been engaged in screening and identifying candidates that match the criteria of the Citi Accelerator to pitch for Citi’s global jury. Alkymi, is the first Danish founded company, to be accepted to the program and has now been to Tel Aviv to meet with mentors, Citi tech team, potential clients, banks, integrators and VC’s to explore business opportunities. Alkymi is also accessing a bi-weekly mentorship, based on Citi Accelerator methodology.  

The methodology focuses on expert mentoring from Citi in the startups' specific financial fields and product development for the global financial industry. Also, the Accelerator program connects startups to senior executives at Citi, boosting the companies to the next level.
