Marts 2015 -- Kingston Technology Europe Co LLP, en afdeling af Kingston Technology Company Inc., verdens førende indenfor hukommelsesprodukter, meddelte i dag at deres kommende 4GB og 8GB ValueRAM® 2133MHz DDR4 ECC SO-DIMM moduler har modtaget Intels validering. Modulerne er valideret til brug til den kommende Intel® Xeon® D-1500 processorfamilie (tidligere kendt som Broadwell-DE). Et link til valideringssiden kan findes her.
Xeon D-1500 SoC (System on Chip) processorfamilien er designet til microservere, netværk- og storagesystemer. Kingston’s DDR4 ECC SO-DIMM moduler har et lavt strømforbrug og høj ydelse hvilket efterspørges i de kompakte systemer der vinder frem. Virksomheder efterspørger kraftfulde systemer, men med lavt strømforbrug og kompakt format. Specielt i datacentre er dette efterspurgt. DDR4 ECC SO-DIMM modulerne der snart frigives vil passe ind i det eksisterende sortiment af DDR3 ECC SO-DIMM moduler til x86 og ARM-baserede processorer og SoC designs.
