DataTraveler microDuo 3C har to tilslutninger, så det fungerer med både standard USB Type-A (3.1, 3.0, 2.0) and USB Type-C™ porte. USB Type-C er en ny kompakt type USB stik, der ikke kan vendes forkert. Stiktypen kan benyttes til dataoverførsel, video output, opladning og kan føre strøm til mere krævende eksterne enheder end i dag.

DataTraveler microDuo 3C er en ideel måde at tilføje ekstra lagerplads til de seneste smartphones, tablets and Mac computere og samtidig bevare mulighed for brug på de eksisterende systemer med standard Type-A USB stik. Drevet kan leveres senere i denne måned og det enkle plug-and-play USB drev tilbyder hurtig USB 3.1 ydelse med læsehastighed op til 100MB/sek og skrivehastighed op til 15MB/sek.
