Stanley Miller appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Net 1

Net 1, a leading provider of mobile broadband in Scandinavia, announced that Stanley Miller, board member of MTS and former CEO of KPN Mobile International, has been appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Miller, commenting on his appointment, said: “This is a great opportunity to be working with one of the fastest growing and most dynamic telecoms companies in Europe and I look forward to contributing to the company's future development. Mr. Stanley Miller was born in 1958. From 1998 to 2010 he worked at Royal KPN, Netherlands. During that time, he served in a number of top leadership positions, including CEO of KPN Mobile International, CEO and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of E-Plus and CEO and Chairman of the Board of BASE in Belgium. From 1991 to 1997, Mr. Miller held senior corporate and operational positions at NetHold, including CEO of Telepiu, Italy. Prior to that, he served as the Group General Manager at Electronic Media Network (M-NET) in South Africa and the Netherlands. Mr. Miller has over 22 years’ experience in both telecommunications and media. He has successfully launched and turned-around businesses in both industries, recently creating significant value for Royal KPN and M-Net.

Mr. Miller served as a member of the Board of Directors of Royal KPN, Hutchison 3G UK Ltd, IP Global Net NV and VESTA Technologies and is currently a board member of MTS.
