A number of shareholders owning a limited number of shares have contacted DnB NOR and expressed a desire to sell their shares. However, they have found that this would be unreasonably expensive. In addition to fulfilling the shareholders` request, this offer will reduce DnB NOR`s shareholder-related costs. The offer will be sent to 4,500 shareholders owning 99 or fewer shares. The price per share in this offer will be the higher of NOK 76.75 (market price on 20 June 2006) and the market price (closing price) on 5 July 2006, the final day of the offer period.
